The Baltimore Ravens are backing out of a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders for star running back Maxx Crosby, the Raiders announced Tuesday.

“The Baltimore Ravens have withdrawn from our trade agreement for Maxx Crosby. We will have no further comment at this time,” the Raiders said.

According to multiple reports, the Ravens made the decision to walk away from the trade due to medical concerns that arose from Crosby’s physical.

Crosby had posted a video on his Instagram Story showing he was in Balitmore just hours before news of the trade collapse broke.

The Raiders reportedly received two first-round picks from the Ravens, including the No. 14 overall pick in next month’s NFL Draft, according to a report.

The timing of the deal’s collapse means both teams were under the impression that the trade, and its many implications involving cap space and draft picks, would take effect as they navigate NFL free agency.

The Ravens had seen a flurry of seven players leave for other teams in free agency before the Crosby deal fell through. Meanwhile, the Raiders will now have millions in salaries added to their payroll after signing at least 8 players in free agency.

But it seems that the new regime will not take the big step of bringing in the veteran Crosby.
