Rob Gronkowski ‘Glad’ Lawrence Taylor denied the jersey application of Abdul Carter giants

Rob Gronkowski was perplexed when he heard that the New York Giants Draft team, Abdul Carter, had asked the supporter of the Fame Hall Lawrence Taylor to let him use the iconic No. 56.
Carter was the general selection number 3 of the NFL draft and speculation began to emerge on which number the former Penn State highlight would use. Carter asked Taylor to use No. 56 and Phil Simms to use No. 11. He received none.

Gronkowski reacted on his podcast with Julian Edelman.
“Did I really speak, asking for the LT number? Yes, you were a high Draft selection, but LT is an absolute legend,” said the New England Patriots’ legend in the “Doubes On Doubes” podcast. “The best thing to do it, one of the best defenders of all time, and let me tell you brother, as, you have to show yourself. That is crazy just ask for the LT number, and I’m glad they close it like that.”
Edelman asked Gronkowski that Bill Belichick would tell Carter if he asked to use No. 56. Belichick was the defensive coordinator of the giants when Taylor was creating ravages for opposite crimes.

“No, there is no friend. There is an LT and you are not Lt. You are not even close to being Lt. So, what if you only take the f — from my office and you put yourself in your play book because you have not yet done s —? And now, you get the number 62 for being an a-hey,” Gronkowski said.
After touching the Taylor and Simms t -shirt numbers, Carter made it clear that only having his name on the back of a giant shirt is good enough for him.

Last season, the team did not withdraw Ray Flaherty number 1 for the open receiver Malik Nabers, which was number 9 throughout the university. Flaherty number retirement was the first in the history of professional football. Flaherty’s family gave the giants permission not to withdraw the number of Nabers, who used it well. Nabers, as a rookie, established the franchise record for most receptions in a season, with 109.
