Rockslide in Banff National Park in Canadian rockies Mata 1, injures 3

Calgary, Alberta – Falling Rocks hit people on a hiking route in the Banff National Park in the Canadian rock mountains, killing one and hurting three others on Thursday.

The rescuers had rushed to the park in the afternoon after receiving reports that a group of hikers had been beaten by the rock slip. Royal Canadian Monted Police and Parks Canada later confirmed one and three were injured near Bow Glacier Falls.

The site is north of Lake Louise in Icefields Parkway, about 124 miles northwest of Calgary. It is also about 85 miles from the seven -summit group site held in Kananaskis, Alberta, this week.

The stars air ambulance spokeswoman, Kate Langille, said previously that two of her units were deployed around 2 pm

Parks Canada has asked visitors to avoid the area.

Bow Glacier Falls hiking route is a 6 -mile route along Bow Lake edges. It is considered a path of moderate difficulty for hikers and buyers of one day, including families.

Alberta Prime Minister Danielle Smith said she was deeply sad. “We are thinking about all those involved and wishing their safety while we expect more details,” he said in a publication on the social media platform X.
