Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter Chelsea was sentenced to prison in Wisconsin following multiple drug arrests and a violation of her probation, prompting a heartbreaking response from the former talk show host.

“Chelsea was born into addiction and it has been a painful journey for her and her children,” O’Donnell said in a statement to Us Weekly on Wednesday. “We continue to love and support her through these horrible times. Prayers are appreciated.”

On Instagram, the expat celebrity included an old photo of Chelsea with a sinister message.

“My daughter Chelsea Belle, before addiction took over her life, I loved her then, I love her now as she faces a terrifying future. My prayers are appreciated,” O’Donnell wrote Wednesday.

Chelsea O’Donnell, now 28, was paroled in January after pleading guilty to several drug charges, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported Wednesday.

But he violated probation due to sexual assault allegations, Us Weekly reported without details of the specific allegations.

On October 22, O’Donnell’s probation was terminated in his case of possession of methamphetamine, resisting an officer and jumping bail, according to the Green Bay outlet. A one-year sentence was imposed.
