Sarah Paulson honors Diane Keaton with raw, emotional speech
Sarah Paulson pays tribute to “one of the greatest human beings the world has ever known,” her late friend Diane Keaton.
On Wednesday, while attending Hollywood Reporter’s Women In Entertainment breakfast, Paulson shared the email she wishes she could send Keaton today.
“Dear fool, I want to tell you that I’m sorry my voicemail was always full,” Paulson began, his voice breaking. “I want to tell you that I’m sorry I wasn’t available every time you called me. I want to tell you that the world is so much more horrible without you. I want to tell you everything that happened in my life in the 54 days since you left. I want to tell you how the world lost its mind in grief the day you died. And I want to tell you that I will miss you forever, and I know I’m an asshole, and I know you’d be happy to know that.”
Holding back tears, the actress continued her tribute as an old friend does.

“She was a very dear friend of mine, so it’s not something I can talk about yet,” he said. saying. “All I can say, and I’ve been saying tonight, which is important for me to communicate, is that what you thought she was as a performer: she was more spectacular as a human being,” the actor continued.
