Senator involved in DHS dust: imagine what

Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) He has some questions following his fight at the press conference of the Secretary of National Security of National Security Kristi Noem on Thursday.

Padilla was expelled from the room and then stopped after trying to confront Noem about the aggressive increase in ice raids that currently extends through southern California while heading to journalists.

And during a Sunday appearance in the “State of the Union” of CNN, he wondered how the authorities are treating everyday people if they were willing to mistreat a senator sitting in view of the cameras.

“If that’s how they treat a senator who tries to ask a question,” he told Dana Bash. “Then imagine, not what they can do, what they are doing to so many people without titles.”

During his appearance in “State of the Union”, the senator also closed the suggestion of the DHS spokesman, Tricia McLaughlin, that he was trying to “manufacture a viral moment” during Thursday’s event.

By telling Bash how he was “escorted” to the room by a member of the National Guard and an FBI agent while he was already in the federal building for a separate informative session, Padilla said: “It was an opportunity to ask a question and do my job as a senator, do my job as a senator when interrogating the secretary of the cabinet.”
