Nancy Guthrie, the missing mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, has high blood pressure and heart problems that require a pacemaker, according to an audio dispatch from the Pima County (Ariz.) Sheriff’s Office reported by People on Tuesday.

Sheriff Chris Nanos had previously said that Guthrie, 84, needed daily medication for undisclosed problems and that not taking it could prove fatal. Investigators are desperately searching for Guthrie, who has not been seen since Saturday night.

Authorities believe she was abducted from her home in the Tucson area. The evidence reported includes blood found at the scene, signs of forced entry and his personal effects left there. A car belonging to Guthrie, who has limited mobility, also remained at the home.

After interviewing Guthrie’s other daughter, Annie Guthrie, with whom Nancy Guthrie had dinner Saturday night, Nanos estimated the time period for her possible kidnapping to be between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Nancy Guthrie raised concerns when she failed to attend church services Sunday morning and the family called police shortly afterward.

Officials are investigating a possible ransom note sent to TMZ that had a legitimate Bitcoin address.
