Steve Bannon will not go back to his bitter dispute with Elon Musk.

The former White House Advisor and the personality of the right -wing media argued that Musk only has his “own interest” in mind during a conversation about West Wing’s internal struggles with the editor -in -chief of Semafor Ben Smith at the top of the world economy on Wednesday.

According to Mediaite, Bannon alluded to the tension between Musk and the Treasury Secretary, Scott Besent, when asked who was responsible for putting into action the radical economic agenda of President Donald Trump.

Calling Besent a “pair of safe hands” and a “very sophisticated businessman”, the “war room” that Rusfer Rouse shed some light on the battle that continued behind the scene about Trump’s choice for the secretary of the treasure.

“The first great fight we have had with Elon was that Elon pushed Howard Lutnick, and Bannon and ‘War Room’ pushed Scott Besent,” said Bannon on the clash, who saw aside by the financial pro-tarifa, Besent, while Musk backed his most reached ticket of Lutnick.

“That became very unpleasant in Mar-a-Lago,” said Bannon. “All kinds of things about Scott arrived that was not true.”

But the former Devoteer of Maga told Smith that Besent was always the best election for “what President Trump is trying to do in commerce, tariffs, taxes, on national security.”

“You are going to need a stable swirl, a rock, so that the markets can sit there and go, ‘that guy tells me the truth,” he reasoned.

Bannon said Lutnick “would have been a disaster without mitigating” if he took advantage of the Treasury Department. Lutnick would eventually achieve a role as the less influential secretary of Commerce.

When calling Musk by name, Bannon said the Besnt-VS.-Lutnick Schism was ultimately, “about people who put their own interest first” instead of prioritizing “the interest of the nation.”

Bannon’s vision arose at the same time that Axios reported that a struggle of power between Musk and Besent about who should lead the IRS had entered a frantic shout match.

“There were two medium -sized billionaire men, thinking it was the WWE in the western wing hall,” said a witness of the Tussle Verbal on April 17.

The White House Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, then called the discussion starts from “a healthy debate process” between the White House factions.
