Sydney Sweeney is addressing current rumors that she has undergone plastic surgery after speculation increased following a viral moment in which her appearance was compared to that of a “MAGA look.”

The “Christy” star, 28, has been in the news in recent months, particularly for the backlash surrounding her controversial American Eagle “good jeans/genes” campaign in July. During the campaign fallout, President Donald Trump and the White House stood by the star amid criticism. Sweeney was later declared registered republican shortly after.

In a recent charming interviewSweeney and her co-star, Amanda Seyfried, were asked to “debunk” a “beauty rumor.”

Sweeney took the opportunity to insist that he had never gone under the knife and quickly blurted out: “Let’s discredit them all.”

“I’ve never finished my work,” she said in the Dec. 4 chat, telling Seyfried, “I’m so afraid of needles. You have no idea.”

The “Euphoria” actor continued to mock social media users who she claims compared her before and after photos online to theorize about what procedures she might have undergone.

“Guys, you can’t compare a photo of me when I was 12 with a photo of me when I was 26 with professional makeup and lighting,” she explained. “Of course I’m going to look different.”

Taking another swipe at his critics, Sweeney added: “Everyone on social media is crazy.”

The “White Lotus” alum argued that if she had worked, her “face would be even” before telling Seyfried that one of her eyelids supposedly “opens a little wider than the other” due to a childhood wakeboarding accident.

Before her chat with Allure, Sweeney said in an October interview with Variety that she was told that altering her appearance was the only way to “make it” in Hollywood.

“I have very strong eyebrow muscles,” he told the outlet. “And someone told me to fix my face, or else I won’t make it. I should get Botox. I was 16!”
