Jennifer Flavin, Sylvester Stallone’s wife, spouted questionable theories in response to a question about transgender children in Hollywood. (Watch the video below).
Flavin, a former model, appeared on the podcast of former Trump administration spokesperson Katie Miller, who is married to White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller.
Miller asked Flavin why “so many” children of Hollywood celebrities are transgender. “Is there something in the water?” she asked.
“I just think Hollywood, you know, is about expression,” Flavin responded in an Instagram preview clip shared by Miller on Sunday. “So, you know, however you want to express yourself. So if you feel like a cat today, you’re a cat. And it’s very relaxed.”
“I don’t think we really understand that these kids are not our props,” Flavin continued. “They’re little human beings who need structure. And structure is really important to them because it helps their brain organize everything.”
Flavin, who appeared on the reality shows “Rocky V” and “The Family Stallone,” suggested without evidence that an excess of celebrities, including luxurious homes and private jets, could encourage children to be transgender.
“There’s too much of everything,” he said. “It gets very confusing for a little person. It’s fine what you decide to be as an adult, but raise them with good common sense.”
Flavin went on to focus on how he raised his daughters.
“I mean, all my daughters were tomboys,” she said. “They preferred to wear pants than dresses, you know? And they loved sports. But I never said, ‘Oh, you’re a boy now.'” I just said, ‘You love playing sports, you love hanging out with guys, that’s awesome.'”
While celebrity children, such as Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts’ daughter Kai, and Robert De Niro’s daughter Airyn, have received publicity for being trans, there is no evidence that there are more trans children in Hollywood, or that more children are transitioning due to their showbiz upbringing.
