Devon Walker, one of the several members of the “Saturday Night Live” cast that comes out before the next season, has opened on why he called the NBC comedy sketch program “Toxic as hell”, telling Variety that the program could benefit from a “humanity measure.”

Walker, who spent two seasons as an outstanding player and another as a cast member, told the magazine that people in the program “are hung with decisions of great life” in the summer after the season ends, but “SNL” does not inform them if they will bring them back or not.

“The program will not tell you the whole summer and then finally end up saying goodbye when there are months of them trying to solve their situation,” said Walker, who said he did not experience him during his departure.

He continued: “I understand that it is a show business and it is a Cutihroat, but people have lives, and people deserve to know the state of their work at a reasonable situation. Most people are told to work again in a week.”

Walker, who described his departure as a mutual decision and “good news”, since he can explore different things in his career, said the program does not need to be toxic and those who are “known” about the program can certainly capture things that are toxic about it. “

His comments arrive only a few days after the Daily Beast reported that the creator of “SNL” Lorne Michaels did not call the cast member Michael Longfellow to let him know that he would not return to the program for his 51st season, which begins next month.

Michaels occasionally calls the members and writers of the cast to inform them that they join the program, according to TDB, but the comedians “most of the time” find out about such beginnings of one of their subordinates or “in some rare cases” learn from the shots of the agents/media.

News has communicated with “SNL” to comment.

Walker is one of the members and writers of the cast who says goodbye to “SNL” before the next season, including Heidi Gardner, the oldest female member of the most recent cast.

The outputs occur after Michaels promised a “significant shaking” in the program in an interview with Puck last month.
