All this is according to Panama’s playlists, a website that was recently launched and claims to reveal the hidden musical tastes of politicians, technological leaders and journalists.

“I found Spotify’s real stories of celebrities, politicians and journalists. Many use their real names,” wrote the creator of anonymous sites. “With a little research, I could say almost certainty: yes, these are them.”

The anonymous researcher, who says he has been scraping accounts since the summer of 2024, insists that they only used information publicly available. “I have been scraping their playlists for more than a year. Some people even have a enabled configuration that shows their last song reproduced. I scratched it continuously, so I know what songs they touched, how many times and when.” They also noticed that there is no affiliation with Spotify. The site itself frames the project as more playful than sinister.
