According to the reports, Eileen Gu, the skier born in the United States who chose to represent China at the 2022 Olympic Games, was involved in a training accident in New Zealand last week.
The spectators of the Cardrona Alpine complex in Cardrona told the South China Morning Post that Gu seemed to suffer serious injuries and needed to be taken to the hospital on a stretcher.

“Unfortunately, yesterday a very terrible accident occurred due to a human error,” he wrote. “I wish I will return soon in the snow, but I am still waiting for the final confirmation of the team of experts.
“I have to concentrate completely during training, especially when I am preparing to start, since it is very dangerous to be interrupted. I also have to concentrate on imagining and imagining the movements while I am in the cable car. To save time, I do not have pauses for lunch and try to use the bath as little as possible. Please do not record or take photos while I am training.”
