The critic hates Adrien Brody

A critic burned in the art exhibition of actor Adrien Brody in New York City, and that could be putting it lightly.

Alex Greenberger, from Artnews, called the work of mixed media of the Oscar winner in the Eden “Horendous” and “Hideous” gallery. He wrote that the use of Brody cartoon characters in paintings inspired by pop art is as subtle as a deck. “

In the review, published on Thursday, Greenberger also punished Brody’s apparent attempt to forge a “worthy” connection between him and the deceased great Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Brody’s reimaginations of Andy Warhol Marilyn Monroe paintings also suffer powerfully compared, according to Greenberger.

“Where Warhol Monroes feel lush, Brody looks cheap and contaminated,” Greenberger wrote.

One of Marilyn’s works by Brody was sold for almost $ 425,000 (including lunch with the actor) in the amfar benefit of the Cannes Film Festival in May.

But the reviewer was not impressed. A great extension about Brody’s mixed media art in the New York Times did not move it either.
