The Dodgers player states that angels are “abused and destroyed” in the midst of immigration raids

The Los Angeles Dodgers player, Enrique Hernández, said in a publication on social networks during the weekend that the community was “being violated, profiled, abused and destroyed” in the midst of an illegal immigration repression in the city and in parts of the county.

The two -time World Series champion expressed his feelings about American immigration and the raids of Customs (ICE) during the last week that led to hundreds of arrests and caused disturbances in parts of Los Angeles. Hernández did not mention the violence that took place against the agents of the law.

“I may not be born and grown, but this city adopted me as one of his,” he wrote on Instagram. “I am sad and enraged by what is happening in our country and in our city. Los Angeles fans and Dodger have received me, have supported me and have not shown me anything more than kindness and love.

“This is my second home. And I can’t stand to see that our community is violated, profiled, abused and destroyed. All people deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and human rights.”

The protests of application of the Anti -Inmigrant Law began on June 7 and on June 8 the protests became violent. The agitators sprayed walls and vehicles with the words “F — Ice”, autonomous vehicles caught fire, and the law agents were thrown with rocks and other objects in the neighborhood of Paramount. Later in the week, stores in downtown Los Angeles were looted.

President Donald Trump immediately deployed the National Guard in the area where the problems began, obtaining the criticisms of the Democrats who insist that his presence would only increase the tensions.

ICE has organized several high profile raids throughout the country as part of the president’s campaign promise to offer mass deportations. Trump promised to prioritize illegal criminal immigrants, but critics claim that the administration is separating families and attacking non -criminal workers.

Since then, Trump has doubled his support for ice in Los Angeles and has asked ICE officers to expand their efforts to other cities.
