The first lady Melania Trump makes a ‘moving’ visit to the children at the hospital for the ‘best’ event

Before Independence Day this year, First Lady Melania Trump visited the National Hospital of Children (CNH) in Washington, DC, on Thursday afternoon in her latest “Be Best” event.
The first lady joined patients fighting cancer, kidney and heart problems, among other diagnoses, in Room Garden to participate in several patriotic arts and crafts, including rock painting.
Nicholas Clemens, communications director of the Office of the First Lady, told News Digital: “Mrs. Trump and our team really appreciated being with these brave children and their caregivers.”

The first lady greeted hospitalized and outpatient children with gifts such as stuffed bears, puzzles, books and temporary tattoos of “being better.”
“It was fun to see them enlightened when they talked to Mrs. Trump about their favorite sports and music, and especially when they saw the best stuffed bears,” Clemens added.

“It was a great reminder of why Mrs. Trump is working so hard to advocate for the well -being of children and young people through Be Best. We really thank Children’s National for a memorable and moving visit,” said Clemens.
Mrs. Trump helped present “Eternal Flame”, a tea hybrid rose from the White House gardens.
Hybrid tea roses have high centers, long stems with high -center flowers and a strong floral fragrance perfect for a cutting garden, according to the Missouri botanical garden.

Accompanying Mrs. Trump was Dale Haney, Superintendent of Grounds of the White House. The new Rosal argued with the first lady and with the president and executive director of CNH Michelle Riley-Brown, along with the children.
Both hospitalized children and outpatient children joined the First Lady in the Mellon bunny healing garden to place rocks, mills and American flags between plants and flowers.

After the day of the festivities, the first lady visited a three -month -old boy in the heart and kidney unit, sharing a very special moment.
The child has performed five different surgeries since his birth.

Mrs. Trump met the child with her military family, sharing many hugs.

While in the heart and kidney unit, the first lady also met with a recently admitted teenager and her family.

The garden is dedicated to the first ladies of the United States after the philanthontrap and horticulturist Rachel “Bunny” Lambert Mellon and is on a roof that covers 7,200 square feet.
