New York Giants No. 3 General Pick Adbul Carter wanted to use Jersey No. 56 Lawrence Taylor withdrawal, but Taylor said no. Fortunately for Carter, the great great giant may be more willing not to withdraw his Jersey number.
Phil Simms, 69, said that renouncing his number 11 for the Marshal of Campo de Carter or the rookie Jaxson Dart would not bother him.
“Hey, look, I told some of my friends and people around me, I said: ‘Oh, I will let him have it in a second.’ I said: ‘Can you help him a little and improve it?’ “Simms said on Fanduel TV.

“I think it would be a lot of fun, I wouldn’t bother me.”
Simms said that if Adbul Carter asked for it, he would give him the shirt number if it were for him, but his family and agent do not want him to give it up.
Carter published the Simms clip again talking about not removing his shirt.
“It would be an honor,” Carter published in X about using the Simms number.

If Simms really gives his retired number to Carter or Dart, it would be the second consecutive year that the giants did not withdraw a number for a rookie. Last season, the team did not withdraw the #1 of the late Ray Flaherty for the open receiver Malik Nabers.
Flaherty’s family gave the giants permission not to withdraw the number of Nabers, who used it well. Nabers, as a rookie, established the franchise record for most receptions in a season with 109.

In 15 games, Nabers had 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns despite the lower field marshal.
Simms is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the giants, and it was 95-64 as head of the giants in their 14 seasons with the team.
