The Great Tennis Chris Evert calls the WNBA players after Caitlin Clark’s last skame

The Chris Evert tennis legend needed the WNBA players for lack of sportsmanship after Tuesday’s skirmish at night that saw the star of Indiana Caitlin Fever Clark to be pushed into the eye and pushed to the ground in a game against the Connecticut sun.
Clark and Sun Marina Mabrey and Tina Charles players were beaten with technical offenses. Jacy Sheldon received a flagrant fault. Later, the fever guard, Sophie Cunningham, seemed to retaliate with a bad foul on Sheldon. Both players were expelled from the game with remaining 40 seconds.

Evert was among those who commented on Clark’s incident.
“When will they realize, accept and appreciate these ladies to @caitlinClark22 is the best thing that has happened to female basketball. This is a bad aspect for sport and what happened with sportsmanship?” Evert wrote in X.
She responded to a publication of social networks made by columnist Christine Brennan, who will release a book about Clark next month.

“The WNBA continues not fulfilling the moment. Terrible decision to allow Marina Mabrey to remain in the game. People are looking like never before. And this is what they see?” Brennan wrote in X.
It is far from being the first time that Clark has been pushed, pushed and pushed to the ground. It was beaten in the eye during a game against the sun last year too, and that has been the tip of the iceberg.
The chief of the crew, Ashley Gross, spoke with a pool reporter after the game and asked about Clark’s technical foul.
“After Sheldon’s lack, Clark reacted in an unsportsmanlike way,” Goss said.
The fever coach, Stephanie White, told journalists after the game that she received no explanation for the technical foul about Clark.

She implored WNBA officials to be better in their efforts to control the heated clashes.
