Our thoughts and sentences are with those who have been affected by this serious incident.”
Tens of thousands of fans had gathered for the parade on Monday, aligning the streets to see Liverpool players exhibit the Premier League trophy. The last Liverpool title occurred in 2020, but pandemic restrictions prevented a celebration at that time.
Harry Rashid, who was in the parade with his wife and two young daughters, told The News that a car began to embry people about 10 feet away from him.
“It was extremely fast,” Rashid said. “Initially, we just listened to pop, pop, pop from people who were only eliminated from the hood of a car.”
Another witness, Luke Dutch, told News themezone that driving seemed “definitely intentional” and the “driver simply closed the door and did not seem to care” before hitting people.
The photos of the scene showed multiple ambulances and lifeguards, and an ambulance service said it was responding to the incident.
North West Ambulance Service “is supporting an incident in the center of the city of Liverpool, after reports of a traffic collision,” the organization said in a statement. “We are currently evaluating the situation and working with other members of emergency services. Our priority is to ensure that people receive the medical help they need as quickly as possible.”

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, wrote on social networks that “the scenes in Liverpool are terrible.”
“My thoughts are with all the injured or affected,” he wrote. “I want to thank the police and emergency services for their rapid and continuous response to this shocking incident.”
The Merseyside police said that an investigation into the collision was underway.
Police identified the suspect as white, in a possible decision to prevent erroneous information from flooding social networks.
“We ask people not to speculate on the circumstances surrounding tonight in Water Street in the center of the city of Liverpool,” police wrote on social networks. “Extensive consultations are ongoing to establish the circumstances prior to collision.”
