What we know about the Air India air accident
A senior Indian police officer on Thursday told the National News Agency of the country that a person, a man who was in the 11th seat in the convicted Air India Flight to London that crashed Shortly after takeoff in the city of Ahmedabad, he survived the catastrophe.
The Indian media spoke with a man in a local hospital who said he was a citizen of the United Kingdom Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the person who had been included in that seat on flight AI171, according to the flight manifesto shared by the Indian authorities.
Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik, who initially told Ani that there were no known survivors of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner That crashed into the city, then was summoned by the same news agency saying “the police found a survivor in seat 11A”. He said the person was “in the hospital and is under treatment.”
“Yes, a survivor is confirmed,” said Dhananjay Dwneddi, main secretary of the Gujarat State Department of Health, according to the French news agency News, without identifying the person.

Dr. Dhaval Gameti at the Civil Hospital of Ahmedabad told The News that he had examined Ramesh and that while the survivor of the accident “was disoriented with multiple injuries throughout his body … seems to be out of danger.”
Gameti told the AP that 186 passenger bodies of the plane had been taken to the Civil Hospital.
The Indian media who spoke with Ramesh in the hospital said he had a ticket for the unfortunate flight that showed his name and the assignment of seats 11a.
“Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a strong noise and then the plane crashed. Everything happened very fast,” said Hindustan Times summoned Ramesh. The newspaper said he informed that he suffered “impact injuries” in the chest, face and feet.
The accident video shows the plane flying under the buildings before leaving the view, followed by a mass explosion that sends a giant fire in the air.
The News themezone BBC News Network News spoke with Ramesh’s cousin, Ajay Valgi, who is in the United Kingdom, Valgi said he had spoken with Ramesh on Thursday.
“He just said it’s fine, nothing more,” said Valgi.
He said Ramesh had been sitting with his brother on the flight, but the brother’s whereabouts is unknown.
“I feel absolutely annoying,” said Valgi. “It’s not just my cousin, it’s also one of my best friends.”
