The NBA star, Zion Williamson, shows the transformation of the body after an intense summer training

The New Orleans movie star, Zion Williamson, showed her weight loss on the day of the team’s media this week after an intense conditioning program during the summer.

“I really felt a change in my body,” Williamson told journalists. “I have not felt like this from the university, the high school, just where I can enter a gym, and I feel good.”

He added that the Executive Vice President of Team Basketball Operations, Joe Dumars, who was hired in April, would hold the star.

“He will take responsibility, and while he is responsible, he will also give me a lot of responsibility, what I am excited,” Williamson said about Dumar. “I know that I will keep a really high standard, and if I slip or something, I know it will be there to make sure to return to the way.”

Williamson, entering his seventh season with the Pelicans, has maintained the reputation of being one of the most overweight players of the NBA since he arrived at the League as the general selection number 1 of Duke in Duke in 2019. He has also been one of the most injured players, losing 268 NBA games due to injuries or other reasons during his career from 2019-20 to 2024-25.

The 6 -foot and 6 -inch coach, the Pelicans Performance Director, Daniel Bove, aimed to address his fluctuating weight and injuries consisting of the conditioning program this summer.

The program included boxing training and exercises that are executed in football fields.

“I really felt a change in my body,” Williamson said about the Bove program. “It feels good to feel good.”

The Pelicans coach Willie Green said the team has been encouraged by the regularity of Williamson’s presence at the team’s headquarters in this low season.

“I saw his work this summer, his attention to his body, his conditioning,” Green said. “He wants to be available for his teammates.”
