The Ozzy Osbournes sisters share the final texts with their brother before his death
The sisters of Ozzy Osbourne are crying the loss of their beloved brother.
Jean Powell and Gillian Hemming opened to the mirror about their brother, whose real name was John Michael Osbourne, and talked about the last time they saw and talked to him.
The two attended the farewell concert of Black Sabbath singer, and they hoped spending more time with him after the big day.
“It was fragile, but it was still a shock,” Powell said about Osbourne’s death at age 76. “I still had plans and things I wanted to do.”
Powell shared: “The last time we saw him at the concert in Villa Park. I received a text message from him while driving for Lodge Road, where we used to live near the stadium. He said he couldn’t believe that all crowds walked down our old street to see him act. He was impressed.”

The two sisters saw the concert from the stadium and were overwhelmed by all those who went out to see their brother.
“When I saw the sea of people hoping to see our John, I broke,” Powell said. “We really didn’t have the opportunity to chat a lot because it was such a chaotic visit. But in his latest text message for me, he said he would return to Birmingham. He said: ‘I can’t wait to come back.'” We expected to see him this week. ”
His famous brother was not a celebrity in his eyes and was always “only our John,” said Hemming.
“I used to make us laugh all the time. That is what I will always remember,” Hemming added.
Osbourne died on Tuesday, July 22, only weeks after performing his farewell concert with Black Sabbath. The concert, called “Back to the Beginn: Ozzy’s Final Bow”, will be launched in theaters in 2026.
The singer’s family launched a heartbreaking statement after his death, writing that “it is more sad that the simple words can convey that we have to inform that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has died this morning.”
The statement said: “He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
