Hurricane season begins 2025
The tropical storm Barbara formed on the coast of southwest Mexico, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said on Sunday.
There are no current watches or warnings.
Two or four inches of rain in parts of the western states of Mexico can lead to floods and landslides until Monday.
It is also likely that the storm generates maritime waves with surfing and briming currents along the southwest coast.

At 4 in the morning, the center was located in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, moving west-northwest to 12 miles per hour. The storm has maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour, with higher bursts.
It is forecast that Barbara will continue to strengthen and become a hurricane on Monday.
NOAA officials predicted A 60% probability of a hurricane season “above normal”, with between 13 and 19 storms named. It is expected that six to 10 of them will be strengthened in hurricanes, and from three to five they could become important hurricanes, the forecasts said.
The Pacific hurricane season began on May 15, while the Atlantic Hurricanes season is from June 1 to November 30, with a maximum activity that generally occurs between mid -August and mid -October.
