The White House chief of staff claims Trump works 24/7 and never sleeps and oh, the irony!
White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles offers some insights into President Donald Trump’s daily routine amid an intense speech about his health and well-being.
Wiles, whom Trump called the “Ice Maiden,” spoke at length with “The Mom View” for its Monday episode. In the interview, he defended the president’s work habits, saying his boss “works 24/7” and never sleeps.
“When we travel, it’s deadly, because normal people need sleep, but he doesn’t,” Wiles said. “It’s a very long day: meetings and some spontaneous conversations. He usually ends around 8, 9, maybe earlier, at 7, which is when he’s busy most nights. And we stay there until he leaves.”

Originally from Florida, Wiles is a seasoned lobbyist with nearly a decade of experience defending a formidable set of corporate interests. In 2024, she served as Trump’s campaign manager and within the Republican Party is considered a pivotal figure in the president’s election. victory over former Vice President Kamala Harris, her Democratic rival.
Since Wiles rarely gives interviews, her appearance on “The Mom View” seems timely.
By all indications, the GOP’s prospects after the 2025 election cycle are not very good, as Democrats have scored several victories in closely contested races. As for Trump, the 79-year-old president has apparently had difficulty staying awake in recent White House meetings, raising questions about his physical stamina.
Elsewhere in her “Mom View” talk, Wiles attempted to calm Republicans’ concerns about 2026 by assuring them that Trump would hit the campaign trail during next year’s midterm elections.

“Normally in midterm elections, it’s not about who’s going to occupy the White House. You localize the election and keep federal officials out of it,” he explained. “In fact, we’re going to turn that around and put it on the ballot because a lot of those low propensity voters are Trump voters.”
He went on to note, “A week ago we saw on Tuesday what happens when he’s not on the ballot and he’s not active. I haven’t told him yet, but he’s going to campaign like it’s 2024 again… it makes a difference, and he certainly is a turnout machine.”
