The winner of the Golden Globe is taken out of running to be James Bond
While some actors cry out to get the role of the protagonist in the iconic “007” franchise, a Golden Globe winner is getting out of the race early.
Taron Egerton, star of Elton John’s biographical film “Rocketman,” he said in a new interview with Collider that he does not believe it is a “good option” for James Bond.
“I think I’m too messy for that … I really love James Bond and particularly Daniel Craig’s mandate,” he said in the interview, published on Tuesday. “But I think it would not be good in that, and I think there are so many great and younger actors that would be great for that. I think I would waste me for me, probably.”

He described the role as “a great company” and also shared that “nobody has asked me to do it.”
“But also, it is not what would make me happier,” Egerton added. “I think it’s a great company, consume your life, a role like that.”
Daniel Craig, who portrayed the British secret agent from 2006 to 2021, would agree with the takeover.
The actor said in 2024 that “he loved every second” of being Bond, but admitted “part of that was hard, strange and strange and emotionally difficult for everyone, including my family.”
He shared some sincere tips for those who assume the role below, admit that the actor has to “grab it and do it.”
