“Unfortunately, we live in a world where someone like Mr. Pitt, an consummated professional who would never contemplate these crimes, can be arrested by the non -corroborated word of an unworthy individual,” Pitt’s lawyer, Jason Goldman, told Variety.

“Actually, this unfounded statement is suspiciously raised about four or five years after the alleged incident, at a time when the two parties were in a completely agreed and voluntary relationship,” the lawyer continued. “This case will be dismissed.”

Pitt representatives did not immediately respond to News’s request for comments.

The actor was previously arrested in July 2022 by assault and theft charges to allegedly hit a man and take his phone. Pitt was put in an involuntary psychological cellar a few months later after, according to the reports, they threw articles to people from a roof in Bushwick.

The incident was treated as a mental health problem and did not result in criminal charges.

The next appearance in the Pitt court is currently scheduled for June 17.
