Tom Brady
Tom Brady is pointing to what it means to be a “great father” and a great athlete.
The seven -time Super Bowl champion talked about the balance of both, and if it can be done, in the last edition of its 199 Bulletin, launched on Tuesday.
Brady focused on the recent comments of the golfer Scottie Scheffler about paternity, but also seemed to be talking to her ex -wife, Gisele Bündchen, in some of her shots.
Scheffler, who currently occupies the number 1 position in the world, said recently that “he would prefer to be a great father” than “a great golfer.” He added that being a good father is “what is most important to me.”
Brady questioned why Scheffler’s choice had to be “mutually exclusive”, and used his own life experience as a NFL field and father of three children in his response.
“I think part of being a great father is to be a great example of doing what is needed to take care of his family. I chose to do so playing football,” Brady wrote. “My dedication to sport, the hours of practice, the moments when I was focused with laser, those were moments when I think I was doing my best for my family and my children.”

“By prioritizing my profession and teaching, with the example, what is needed to be really good in your work, what is needed to follow the commitments, what is needed to be a great teammate; and also show them, for example, that work is a large part of all our lives,” he added.
Brady then added that “reading stories of bedtime and helping them with the task are not the only ways of being a great father,” what some took as a shadow towards Bündchen. Brady added that warning that “Nor is Super Bowls or MVP win.”
While Brady portrays the image of a man who balanced him everything, he and Bündchen died about the extreme dedication of the NFL star to his sport.
The athlete told Howard Stern in 2020 about once his wife “was not satisfied” with his marriage due to his commitment to football.
“She didn’t feel that I was doing my part for the family,” he said at that time. “She felt that she would play football throughout the season and take care of the house. And suddenly, when that season ended, she said: ‘Great, let me enter all my other commercial activities, let me enter my football training.”
A few years later, in an interview with Elle in 2022, the Supermodel expressed “concerns” about Brady’s decision to return to football after retiring from the Patriots.
“This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like it to be more present,” he told the magazine. “I’ve definitely had those conversations with him again and again.”
