Grammys host Trevor Noah made a joke about President Donald Trump’s deep desire to take over Greenland during Sunday’s awards show.

While congratulating Billie Eilish on her Song of the Year win, the former “Daily Show” host said, “Wow. That’s a Grammy every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland.”

Delving further into Trump for his ties to the late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, Noah said it all “makes sense because since Epstein left, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

The joke appeared to be a nod to emails from Epstein’s brother that mention photos of “Trump blowing on Bubba,” a well-known nickname for Clinton. However, the idea of an illicit meeting between the presidents seems to depend on prurient conjecture and little else.

While court documents, photographs and flight logs link Trump and Clinton to Epstein, there is no substantial evidence to show that either also visited the late sex offender’s private island, Little St. James.

Trump went out of his way to make that point while threatening Noah in a post on Truth Social after the awards, which he referred to as “trash.”

“BAD!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, or anywhere near it, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, I have never been accused of being there, not even by the fake news media,” Trump wrote. “Noah, a total loser, better get the facts straight and get them straight quickly. Looks like I’m sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dumb MC, and sue him for a lot of money. Ask little George Slopadopolus and others how it all turned out. Ask News too! Get ready, Noah, I’ll have fun with you! President DJT.”

Although Trump has long tried to downplay his relationship with Epstein, his name was mentioned thousands of times in Justice Department documents related to criminal investigations of Epstein. On Friday, a massive release of files related to Epstein contained some of the most disturbing allegations against Trump to date, claims the Justice Department described as “false and sensational” in a cautionary statement released Tuesday.

When reporters on Air Force One asked about the latest revelations on Saturday, Trump promised that “some very important people” had told him that the document dump cleared his name.

“Not only does it absolve me, but it’s the opposite of what people expected, you know, the radical left,” Trump said.
