President Donald Trump wrote in Truth Social Sunday that his tariffs are “something beautiful to contemplate” and they are “something very beautiful!”
That is a lot of “beautiful” for market taxes on foreign goods that even Bill Ackman, an administrator of multimillionaire coverage funds that is a Trump ally, warned that it could result in “an economic and self -induced nuclear winter.”
“This is not what we vote,” Ackman wrote in X.
Trump seemed to bleach financial devastation and increase the commercial war with sweet talks of his widely criticized taxes.
“We have mass financial deficits with China, the European Union and many others. The only way in which this problem can be cured is with tariffs, which are now bringing tens of billions of dollars to the US. UU. They are already in force, and something beautiful to contemplate,” Trump wrote. “The surplus with these countries has grown during the ‘Presidency’ of Sleepy Joe Biden. We are going to reverse and reverse it quickly. Someday people will realize that tariffs, for the United States of America, are very beautiful!”
In another defense on Sunday, Trump called “Medicine” radical tariffs, continuing his strange medical JAG.
“Sometimes you have to take medications to fix something,” he said on Air Force One.
