Trump attacks another reporter with unbelievable words
President Donald Trump on Thursday attacked a journalist for asking a basic question during a Thanksgiving news conference after speaking with U.S. service members, part of a recent trend of insults he has hurled at women who cover him.
“Are you stupid? Are you a stupid person?” he asked the reporter during a tense exchange about the suspect in Wednesday’s attack on two National Guard members in Washington, DC.
During the event, Trump announced that one of the victims, 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom, had died and criticized President Joe Biden’s immigration policies, as the suspect, who had worked with the CIA in Afghanistan, was allowed to enter the United States as part of a resettlement program in 2021.
However, this year the Trump administration granted him asylum.
“It was examined and the result was clean,” said the journalist.
“He went crazy,” Trump responded. “I mean, he went crazy, and that happens too. It happens a lot with these people.”
But Trump insisted that Afghan migrants were allowed in without any controls and showed a photo of a plane full of asylum seekers:

“There was no background investigation or anything like that, they came without being investigated,” he said.
“Actually, your Department of Justice inspector general just reported this year that DHS and the FBI conducted a thorough investigation of these Afghans who were brought to the United States,” he insisted. “So why do you blame the Biden administration?”
Trump didn’t like the question at all.
“Because they let them in,” he responded. “Are you stupid? Are you a stupid person? Because they came on a plane with thousands of other people who shouldn’t be here, and you’re just asking questions because you’re a stupid person.”

Trump said “it’s almost impossible” to remove people who came through this program.
“You can’t get them out once they get in,” said Trump, whose administration claimed to have deported 527,000 immigrants this year so far (although that figure has been disputed).
Trump has a long history of attacking the media, but in recent weeks he has been especially scathing toward the women who cover him.
He called the New York Times’ Katie Rogers “ugly” after she co-authored a report about her lighter schedule as she ages. He chastised ABC’s Mary Bruce for asking what he called “a horrible, insubordinate and just terrible question” about having Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, in the Oval Office.
And when Bloomberg’s Catherine Lucey asked about Jeffrey Epstein’s files, he responded, “Hush, little pig!”
His staff has followed suit, telling New Yorker writer Jane Mayer to “respectfully shut your mouth” when she questioned the deployment of National Guard troops to Washington after the attack.
Mary Trump, a clinical psychologist who is also the president’s niece, said those attacks are revealing.
“He’s a little nervous,” he said on his podcast earlier this week.
