Trump demands WSJ reporters, Murdoch for defamation after the history of Epstein’s birthday card
President Donald Trump demanded journalists at the Wall Street Journal and the owner of the newspaper, Rupert Murdoch, on Friday, one day after the newspaper published the content of a spicy birthday message, according to the reports, S, according to the reports, sent Jeffrey Epstein in 2003, according to a judicial file.
Trump’s demand on the article, written by journalists Khadeja Safdar and Joe Palazzolo, affirms that his actions were “malicious, deliberate and despicable” and that history will cause “financial and reputable reputation damages” to the president. Look for at least $ 10 billion.
Trump promised to demand in comments to the Journal and a subsequent publication and full of anger in Truth Social on Thursday after the newspaper reported that Trump’s birthday card to the late sexual offender presented a drawing of the contour of the body of a naked woman and a cryptic message: “Happy birthday, and it can be another wonderful secret.”
“The Wall Street Journal printed a false letter, supposedly to Epstein,” Trump wrote in Truth Social. “These are not my words, nor the way I speak. In addition, I do not draw photos. I told Rupert Murdoch that it was a scam, that I should not print this false story. But he did, and now I will demand his butt, and that of his third rate newspaper.”

The complaint focuses on the article presented by Trump’s letter “as a fact”, despite the fact that “he could not attach the letter, he could not attach the alleged draw, he showed no evidence that President Trump was author or signed said letter, and could not explain how this alleged letter was obtained,” argues the demand.
“The reason for these failures is because there is no authentic letter or drawing,” he continues. “The defendants invented this story with the malignant character and integrity of President Trump and portray it deceptively in a false light.”
The president announced how he is calling a “historical legal action” in Truth Social along with a long perorata.
“This lawsuit is presented not only in the name of its favorite president, I, but also to continue defending all Americans who will no longer tolerate the abusive irregularities of false media,” Trump wrote, listing the other media that he has demanded, saying that they promote “unpleasant and even frude lies, to the American people.”
Trump, who denies having something to do with the birthday card, filed his claim at the Miami Federal Court. And although he said he does not draw photos, Trump’s scribbles over the years say otherwise.
Trump and his administration have already been criticized, including their own followers, for not releasing more information related to Epstein’s case.
During a bill on Friday, Trump turned his back on the journalists trying to ask him questions.
News Corp and the White House did not immediately respond a request for comments.
Pen America, the literary and free expression group, said demand has serious implications for press freedoms in the United States.
“President Trump’s demand against the Wall Street Journal is not an isolated tantrum, but part of a campaign of years to erode press freedom and suppress journalism that challenges him,” Tim Richardson, manager of the Pen America journalism and misinformation program manager, said in a statement. “These efforts are designed to relax the responsibility reports and echo a family play book: undermine independent media, demand loyalty and retaliate against those who defend power.”
