President Donald Trump took aim at both “stupid” Democrats and Republicans on Wednesday after newly obtained documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate suggested the president knew about the late sex offender’s criminal activity.

Trump’s Social Truth rant also comes as House Democrats move forward with releasing all the documents, thanks to some Republicans joining them in a petition to force a vote on their release.

“Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein hoax again because they will do anything to divert attention from how badly they have done with the shutdown and so many other issues,” Trump wrote.

“Only a very bad or stupid Republican would fall into that trap,” he warned.

Four Republicans, Reps. Lauren Boebert (Colo.), Nancy Mace (S.C.), Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) and Thomas Massie (Ky.), sided with Democrats in voting in favor of a petition to force a House vote on releasing all of the Justice Department’s Epstein files, something the Trump administration said they would not do, reversing course on their campaign promises in a move that shook their MAGA base over the summer.

“There should be no misdirection toward Epstein or anything else,” Trump continued Wednesday, “and the Republicans involved should focus solely on opening our country and repairing the massive damage done by Democrats.”

Trump’s message to Republicans follows reports that he communicated directly with Boebert and Mace about their votes on Tuesday, sources told The New York Times. The call to Boebert reportedly preceded the Justice Department summoning Boebert to a meeting with Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel.

Trump has not yet been able to reach Mace by phone, the Times noted, but she posted her support Wednesday morning.

“I’M SICK OF FAKE NEWS THAT FOCUSES ON TRUMP AND NOT EPSTEIN’S VICTIMS!” he wrote in all caps on the

While Greene, Boebert and Mace have been staunch allies of Trump, their adherence to the petition reflects his supporters’ long-standing demands for Epstein’s files, which Trump, Bondi and other members of his administration once loudly echoed.

The files released Wednesday, obtained through a subpoena to Epstein’s estate, raise questions about whether Trump knew Epstein was sex trafficking minors.

Trump “knew about the girls,” Epstein wrote in a 2019 email, months before he died in prison awaiting trial.

In a 2011 email, Epstein told co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell that Trump is the “dog that hasn’t barked” because he had spent time with someone whose name is spelled “VICTIM.”
