Trump is confident that the Ukraine War will end since Putin seems still

President Donald Trump appeared on Wednesday that he will negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine, although so far he has not managed to convince Russian President Vladimir Putin to put an end to his brutal war.

In a telephone interview with News, Trump said he hoped to progress towards his goal of finishing the three -year war, but suggested that Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy “are not yet ready.”

“I’ve been seeing it, I have been seeing it and I have been talking about that with President Putin and President Zelenskyy,” Trump said. “Something is going to happen, but they are not yet ready. But something will happen. We are going to do it.”

Trump, once again, admitted that he underestimated how difficult that conflict would be to close, but said: “I think we are going to get everything out.”

After his meeting with Putin in Alaska on August 15, where he extended the red carpet for the Russian dictator and rode with him in “The Beast”, the armored limousine of the president of the United States, Trump had claimed peace conversations, including a possible trilateral summit between him and the two foreign leaders, he would soon follow him. However, these conversations have not materialized and Putin seems not willing to make any concession to kyiv, while continuing to increase their attacks against Ukrainian civilians.

Speaking to journalists in Beijing, the Russian leader said: “It seems to me that if common sense prevails, it will be possible to agree an acceptable solution to end this conflict.”

“If not, then we will have to solve all the tasks we have before us by the force of weapons,” he continued.

Putin added that he would be willing to sit down with Zelenskyy while the Ukrainian president arrived in Moscow, an offer that was quickly rejected by kyiv as “unacceptable.”

On Wednesday, Trump told journalists at the White House that he didn’t have a new message for his Russian counterpart.

“He knows where I am standing and will make a decision in one way or another,” Trump said. “Whatever your decision, we will be happy with that or unhappy. And if we are not happy with that, you will see things happen.”
