Trump Lobs All-Caps insults to Jerome Powell for refusing lower interest rates once again

President Donald Trump criticized the president of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, in an irritable message on Thursday morning after Powell refused to bow before his repeated demands that he reduces interest rates.

“Jerome ‘Too Late’ Powell has done it again!” Trump wrote on his social networks, Truth Social. “He is too late, and in reality, too angry, too stupid and too political, to have the work of the fed chair.”

He continued: “He is costing our country billions of dollars, in addition to one of the most incompetent or corrupt renovations of an ed (s) of construction!

Trump’s scathing comments arrived a day after the Federal Reserve decided Keep rates Where are they. The decision left the Fed short -term rate at 4.3%, where it remained after the Central Bank made three cuts last year.

The Fed has not indicated any plan to reduce rates at the moment despite the growing Trump pressure and its administration to do so. Trump and his appointed have been publicly condemning Powell for months for the lack of will of the Fed to reduce interest rates.

Trump, who at the beginning of this month apparently forgot that he was the one who appointed Powell to begin with, he faced Powell last week for the cost of renovations for the headquarters of the Federal Reserve in Washington, DC, when Trump stopped at the Central Bank.
