Trump made an embarrassing fashion choice while receiving dead troops and News showed an old clip instead
News admitted to showing an old clip of President Donald Trump in a dignified transfer, one that didn’t show him wearing a white baseball cap with the word “USA” written on it.
On Saturday, Trump attended the dignified transfer of six American service members who died in the war with Iran. His choice to wear a white baseball cap at the transfer was called “shocking” and “embarrassing,” and Trump was accused of having “no sense of dignity.”

News
News acknowledged the “mistake” during Sunday’s episode of “News and Friends.”
“We inadvertently aired a video of an earlier, dignified transfer instead of the ceremony that took place yesterday,” said “News and Friends Weekend” co-host Griff Jenkins. “We deeply regret the error and extend our deepest condolences to the families of the service members.”
In a statement to News themezone, a spokesperson for News Media said they regret the error.
“News Media programs inadvertently aired archival footage of a previous dignified transfer while discussing yesterday’s ceremony at Dover Air Force Base,” the statement said. “Stock footage was mistakenly used during the video acquisition process. We regret the error and apologize for the incorrect footage.”
