Trump Naming News presenter Jeanine Pirro, as the best federal prosecutor in DC
Washington (AP) – President Donald Trump said Thursday that he is appointing News, Jeanine Pirro, former prosecutor of the county and judge elected, to be the main federal prosecutor of the capital of the Nation after leaving his first election for work.
Pirro, who joined News in 2006, cohostizes the program of the “The Five” network at night from Monday to Friday. She was elected as a judge in the Westchester County Court in New York in 1990 before serving three mandates as a prosecutor of the elected district of the County.

Trump took at least at least temporarily the office of the largest American prosecutor in the nation after taking his nomination for conservative activist Ed Martin Jr. for the position early. In a publication about Truth Social, Trump said he was appointing Pirro as the interim prosecutor of the United States in Washington, DC, but did not indicate whether he would nominate the position confirmed by the Senate more permanently.
“Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position, and is considered one of the main district prosecutors in the history of the state of New York. It is in a single class,” Trump wrote.
Trump retired Martin for consideration after a key Republican senator said he could not support Martin for work due to his defense of the fuss that assaulted the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
“He is an excellent person, and he was not receiving the support of the people I thought,” Trump told journalists at the Oval office on Thursday. He later added: “But we have someone else who will be great.”
Martin’s main role in Trump’s “Stop The Steal” movement was demoralizing for subordinates who spent four years prosecuting more than 1,500 riot defendants only to see the president forgive them in mass. Pirro has its own connection with the theories of conspiracy without foundation of electoral fraud.
In 2021, the Smartmatic USA voting technology company sued News, Pirro and others for disseminating false statements that the company helped to “steal” Trump’s presidential elections of 2020. The demand for defamation of the company, presented in a court in the state of New York, sought $ 2.7 billion of the accused.
Pirro is the last one of a series of Trump appointments from News, a list that includes the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who was co-elanfitrion of the “News & Frynds Weekend.”
“Jeanine Pirro has been a wonderful addition to the five in the last three years and a dear host of News in Media de Narias de News who contributed greatly to our success throughout his 14 -year mandate. We wish him all the best in his new role in Washington,” said a News medium spokesman in a statement.
Martin has served as an interim prosecutor of the United States for the Columbia district since Trump’s first week in office. But their hopes of maintaining work vanished in the midst of questions about their qualifications and background. Martin had never served as a prosecutor or judged a case before assuming the position in January.
Martin has caused a critics choir during his brief but tumultuous mandate in office. He shot and degraded subordinates who worked in politically sensitive cases. He published on social networks about possible research objectives. And forced the head of the Office’s Criminal Division to resign after ordering to examine the award of a government contract during the administration of Democratic President Joe Biden.
Martin’s temporary appointment will expire on May 20.
Pirro, a 1975 graduate of the Albany Law Faculty, has significantly more experience in the court than Martin. She directed one of the first units of domestic violence of the nation in the office of a prosecutor.
After its terms chosen as Judge and District Fiscal, Pirro briefly campaigned in 2005 as a Republican to defeat the then democratic senator Hillary Rodham Clinton before announcing that he would apply for New York Attorney General. She lost that race to Andrew Cuomo, son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo.
Pirro became an expert on Ubiquitous television during the murder trial of OJ Simpson, often appearing in “Larry King Live” of CNN. During his time in News, he has frequently interviewed Trump.
