Enrique Tarrio, the former leader of the proud children of the extreme right and sedimentist sentenced in the siege of the Capitol of January 6, 2021, thanked Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago for his forgiveness and obtained a “I love them” from the president, according to Tarrio and a report of the New York Times.

The meeting on Saturday night occurred when a member of the Trump homemade field club invited Tarrio and his mother, Zuny Duarte, to have dinner at Florida Resort, the New York Times reported Sunday. The member presented the two to the two while walking in the main hall, said a White House official without the newspaper.

Duarte said Trump acknowledged Tarrio’s name: “Oh, you are that guy,” and even knew the names of his coacked in the case, The Times wrote.

Tarrio gave a brilliant story of the meeting in X, previously Twitter, writing:

I just had a great conversation with @potus. My mother already called me while we were at dinner and said I lamented what @joebiden did to all the j6ers. I knew the difficulties that I and my family face for 3 long years. I knew how many times they transferred me. And he said he is working to do things well. I thanked him for returning my life. He replied with … I love you. For the J6ers, I wanted you to send a message to everyone … he said … Thank you.

The White House did not respond to the request for comments from the Times.

In 2023, Tarrio, the former national president of the proud children, was sentenced and sentenced to 22 years in prison for sedicious conspiracy and other crimes related to the attempted insurrection of January 6 of annulling the electoral results of 2020. But the forgiveness of the day of the inauguration of Trump of almost all the accused persons resulted in his release of a prison in Louisiana.

Days later, Tarrio said they were the researchers of the riots that belonged “after bars.”

In February, Tarrio was arrested after the Capitol Police saw him hit the cell phone and the arm of a woman after she put the phone to the face in a J6 participants meeting in the Capitol.
