Trump’s White House Ballroom Dream Gets Reality Show Treatment on SNL

Host Miles Teller transformed into twins Drew and Jonathan Scott from the hit HGTV show “Property Brothers” as they took on their “biggest challenge yet”: the controversial new East Wing ballroom.

The twins meet the president and first lady Melania Trump, played by James Austin Johnson and Chloe Fineman, before giving a deadpan description of Trump’s unique relationship with 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

“Donald and Melania moved into this house nine years ago,” Teller explains. “They were evicted for four years, but they came back.”

After Teller trolls Drew Scott by commenting on the president’s “good eye for interior design,” Johnson is seen maniacally scattering gold urns around the Oval Office.

Noting one of the “subtle changes” the Trumps made to the White House during the second term, Teller jokes that the recently razed Rose Garden now looks like “outdoor seating at an Olive Garden.”

According to the Tellers twins, Donald and Melania Trump still felt something was “missing” in the 132 rooms, so of course a ballroom was the most practical addition.

As “SNL” Donald Trump told them, the budget was “between $350 million and infinite,” and that permits wouldn’t be a problem because he “could build this ballroom out of the bones of my enemies, and no one could stop me.” So, the brothers got to work on the design.

It seemed difficult to temper Trump’s outlandish requests, which included expanding the East Wing so far that it extended into the street and adding a new MMA fight ring on the White House lawn.

To ensure the president’s vision was perfect, the twins asked him to put together a mood board, which ended up including photos of “Star Wars” villain Jabba the Hutt, Trump’s archenemy and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and lots of gilded interior designs.

Although Teller’s version of the Scott brothers told the president they were committed to preserving the historic nature of the building in a text, Trump signaled he had other plans when he responded with a GIF of the White House being erased in the movie “Independence Day.”

As Johnson’s Trump surveyed the demolition, he rejoiced and said, “It will be done just in time for my third term!”

“That’s right! We want this to be our forever home,” Melania chirped as the fake president added, “Yes, because we’re not leaving. We’re going to do something called a ‘coup’!”
