Uzo Aduba has assumed many roles in his life, but it seems that motherhood could still be his favorite.

In November 2023, Aduba welcomed her daughter, Adaiba Lee Nonym. Since then, he has developed a deep affection for being a mother.

“Maternity is the best thing that has happened to me,” Aduba said in a March 24 interview at “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”

The actor “Orange is The New Black” admitted that motherhood remains “a job”, but it is “the best work I have had.”

He also shared a proud raising: his daughter is now starting to speak, which means that she looks more like her mother.

“I am a great conversationalist,” Aduba admitted.

He added that his little one proved to be a real “soldier” in his first international adventure.

“She is a soldier. She is a champion,” she said about her daughter’s resistance during her long trip to Australia.

Aduba, an opera singer with classical training, said that his “favorite thing” is to sing to his daughter, joking that “it is a captive audience, let’s be clear.”

In a 2024 Interview with peoplethe actor opened about the adjustments he has made to his life as a father, particularly sailing through the fight too familiar to sleep deprivation.

“People say it, and I have seven nephews and nephews, but you don’t know how little you sleep at the beginning until you experience it,” said Aduba. “At university, I could make insomnia nights.”
