WASHINGTON – President Mike Johnson (R-La.) warned us that Antifa would be present at Saturday’s peaceful nationwide “No Kings” protests against President Donald Trump’s authoritarianism. You have to admit, he was right.
News themezone saw Antifa at the Washington, DC rally in plain sight. It was surreal. This is what Trump designated a “domestic terrorist organization” last month. Johnson said Friday that he is the radical group behind the weekend’s “hate America” protests, led by “people who don’t want to stand up and defend the fundamental truths of this republic.”
Never mind that Antifa is not even a centralized group, but rather a loosely organized movement of mostly progressive activists opposed to fascism and racism. Or that antifa is short for “antifascist” and comes from the German word “antifaschistisch,” a reference to a German antifascist group of the 1930s. Or that the “No Kings” protests drew some 7 million Americans to cities and towns in all 50 states, peacefully and proudly waving American flags and signs that They condemned Trump’s now routine attacks on democracy and the rule of law.
Johnson was right. Antifa was present at these protests. And here she is.

It is unclear how many other Aunt Tifas or Uncle Tifas attended. But there were many more people with signs and messages that made it understandable why Johnson was so afraid of these massive, organized and even joyful protests.
