Why it is important that Donald triumphs on the cover -up of Jeffrey Epstein

When Attorney General Pam Bondi declared in a memorandum on July 10 that “no additional dissemination would be appropriate or justified” for the innumerable archives, images and videos of the Department of Justice related to the late pedophile and the rich financial financial Jeffrey Epstein unleashed a storm of fire.

The conservative influencers rebelled, punishing the administration for not fulfilling their promise. Meanwhile, Trump worsened the story, claiming that the whole story of Epstein was a “scam” and a “deception” created by Democrats such as former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden. He told his followers to hit sand, calling them “stupid” and “weak” and that “I don’t want their support anymore!” Trump and the White House officials have spent weeks trying to calm their conservative allies and strong arms so that it no longer speaks of Epstein.

The scandal became a spiral more shortly after Bondi dismissed the prosecutor of the Doj of his career, Maurene Comey, who is not only the daughter of the former director of the FBI and Trump Nemesis James James Comey, but also was the main prosecutor in the case of Epstein. On Thursday night, the Wall Street Journal reported that among the seized files of Epstein’s property by the Department of Justice there is an obsessed letter that Trump sent to Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003.

The letter includes a drawing of a naked woman with Trump’s signature applied to her pubic region. Trump’s ode to Epstein includes lines like “We have certain things in common, Jeffrey” and “that every day is another wonderful secret”, which can only send the paranoid mind. Trump denied angry that the letter was Real, said he tried to get the owner of the Wall Street Journal, Rupert Murdoch, killing the story and threatened to sue the magazine, Murdoch and the parent corporation of The Journal Newscorp.

Looking to lean to the pressure, Trump ordered Bondi to try to make the Great Jury of Epstein allow the dissemination of “relevant” documents. However, it is not clear if Bondi would allow the release of documents that appoint Trump or if the judge supervise the Grand Jury would take the extremely weird step to uproot the documents of the Grand Jury. There are also thousands of other documents related to Epstein held by the federal government that Trump did not call to be released.

In fact, Senator Dick Durbin (D-Bill.), The member of the Senate Judicial Committee classification, sent a letter to Bondi on Friday claiming that “approximately 1,000 people” of the FBI were put in the duty of the 24 years of reviewing “approximately 100,000 records related to Epstein” and “instructions of” flag “in which President Trump was mentioned.

Why the right is big

To understand the conservative explosion around Epstein, first one must understand the heart of Trumpist politics. These policies have been routinely labeled as populists during the last decade. But this populism does not focus on populist policies designed to help the masses: universal medical care, repressions in corporations, higher taxes on the rich, money limits in politics or to close tax shelters on the high seas. Instead of politics, Trump’s right -wing populism provides the masses against other aliens (immigrants, LGBTQ, black people) and conspiracy stories of the secret elite perfidy, whether the deep state or global elite criminal operations.

These elite secret irregularities are, in their heart, stories about inequality and the power of the rich and politically connected to the expense of the common man and woman. But they have no promise to set social inequalities or raise those common people. Instead, they promise revenge and a twisted justice. Indeed, they allowed the right to co-opt the anti-elite populist feeling following the wave of events that undermine the elite authority as the great recession, the mortgage crisis and the Iraq war.

The most powerful of these stories to emerge during Trump’s era was Qanon. Qanon emerged from the 2016 Pizzagate conspiracy that he affirmed (falsely, obviously) that Bill and Hillary Clinton operated a children’s sex ring of a pizzeria in Washington, DC, for them and his friends of the Democratic Party.

Qanon postulates that Trump is an avenging archangel sent by God to investigate, lead to justice and judge and execute the cosmopolitan elites that govern the world through a global conspiracy of satanic pedophiles. This justice is known as “the storm.” Surveys in 2022 have shown that around 25% of Republicans were believers of Qanon and only 48% rejected Qanon’s ideology, and conservative influencers have made their careers or played on foot with beliefs of Qanon in Trump’s era.

That such an absurd story, which has parallels with anti -Semitic theories such as the protocols of the elderly and blood defamation, has rooted and plays a key role in American politics may seem crazy, but Qanon’s narration has a long pedigree to the first stories written among English settlers in the United States.

The first narrative texts produced by the English settlers were the captivity narratives who told the history of Puritan women captured by the Satanic Indian tribes and finally rescued, returned and purified by Christianity. After the War of Independence, the fear of elite conspiracies stirred in politics when Thomas Jefferson and others assaulted the federalist society of Cincinnati and the federalists attacked Jefferson as a tool of the Illuminati. In the 1820s, the anti -demonstration became a powerful strength around the stories that the Masons were killing men who challenged them. Anti -Catholic Nativism joined in the book of 1836 of Maria Monk, to a large extent that it is believed to be fiction, which followed the tropes of captivity’s narratives to claim a vast sexual conspiracy of the Catholic Church. Qanon remains in this long tradition that was labeled as the “paranoid style” for the historian of the twentieth century Richard Hofstadter.

While Qanon is not real, Jeffrey Epstein is. It was a rich elite that hung in the elite more of the circles with friends in politics, business, technology, science, higher education and intelligence services and directed a sex ring that took advantage of the teenagers and preteen of the mansions in New York and Palm Beach and an island in the Caribbean. The conservatives and other followers of the conspiracy have played the unpublished archives of Epstein as providing the truth about the elite pedophilia rings that will lead to the “storm” promised by Qanon. This is not a distraction

There are innumerable Trump scandals that are much worse in terms of their destructive impact on people (mass deportation, January 6, cutting medical care and financing of foreign aid) that their cover -up of Epstein’s case. But that does not mean that this story is in any less important way. In any case, it could be the key to undo the draw that unites it at least part of its base.

This is because Trump does not want them to know what is quite easy to discover when reading non -conservative news: that Trump was a good friend of Epstein for years. This has been public knowledge for years, but it still does not seem to have penetrated the magician mind.

Trump met Epstein through Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s girlfriend and the couple in the crime. In the 1980s, Ghislaine was a socialite who used his father Robert Maxwell’s business to make his way in New York and London. Robert Maxwell was a powerful businessman in London who was deeply connected to Israeli and Soviet intelligence services and, after his death, it was revealed that he had been a thief and fraud. Trump and Robert were also the type of brakes that only rich people can be: friendly acquaintances who try to overcome each other for commercial acquisitions. Ghislaine used his father’s connections to become Trump’s friend and introduce Epstein in the late 1980s.

In 1992, Epstein and Trump were captured on video by NBC Rishing and Ogling Women in an event at Trump’s Mar-A-Lago. “She is hot,” Trump be tilted to tell Epstein in a moment before something in his ear that leaves Epstein duplicated in laughter.

Later that year, Epstein was in New York with the Stacey Williams model, whom he was dating, and decided to go through Trump Tower to see Trump, according to Williams. By meeting Trump, Williams tells Trump groped against Epstein, while the two men continued to leg and smile at each other. Williams described him as a “twisted game” between the two. Trump has completely denied that this took place.

“It was very clear then that he and Donald were very, very good friends and spent a lot of time together,” Williams said in 2024 when telling his story.

In 1997, the two attended a Victoria’s Secret party organized by Epstein’s largest client, the limited brands (owner of Victoria’s Secret) Les Wexner. Epstein and Maxwell invited Trump to a party with Prince Andrew, who has been accused of sleeping with minor girls provided by Epstein, in 1999. Next year, Trump received Epstein and Maxwell in a Mar-A-Lago tennis tournament along with his new girlfriend, Melania Knauss, who is now the first lady.

When New York magazine outlined Epstein in 2002 when he began cultivating a public personality, including the establishment from Jet to Africa with Bill Clinton and Bill Gates, Trump sang his praise.

“Fedatrify Guy,” Trump said. “It’s a lot of fun to be with him. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as me, and many of them are on the youngest side. Without a doubt, Jeffrey enjoys their society l life.”

The following year, Trump wrote the letter for Epstein’s 50th birthday that the Wall Street Journal revealed Thursday.

But that was close to the end of his friendship. In 2004, Trump beat Epstein for a Palm Beach mansion behind the latter before turning the house a few months later to a Russian oligarch for 2.5 times the amount he paid. The two fell and remained in the exits.

Before that, Epstein said he was “Donald’s closest friend for 10 years” in an interview recorded with the journalist Michael Wolff. Trump appears throughout Epstein’s documents that have been made public. It is recorded as flying in the private Jet of Epstein eight times. There are paper memoranda that Trump called Epstein at home. And Trump’s name appears in Epstein’s black contact book with 16 different telephone numbers.

When Epstein was deposed in 2016 and was asked under oath if he ever socialized with Trump in the presence of minor girls, he claimed his right of the fifth amendment not to incriminate and refused to respond. (He invoked his rights of the fifth amendment at least 600 times during this deposition).

Epstein would be arrested for having sex with minors in 2006, but federal prosecutors gave him a guilt of the bride in 2008. He would only declare himself guilty of acquiring a minor for prostitution and sentenced to 18 months in prison, although he was given a special treatment and was allowed to leave in “liberation of work” for much of the time.

When Trump assumed the position for the first time, he appointed the architect of that guilty agreement, Alexander Acosta, as his secretary of Labor. But Julie K. Brown report from Miami Herald in 2018 Epstein’s review and his wedding love discovered up to 80 victims of Epstein. That report led to the resignation of Acosta and the reopening of Epstein’s investigation. He was accused and arrested again in 2019 and then died, supposedly for suicide, in a jail cell that same year.
